Ben Zo is a DJ for any occasion. Depending on where, you could hear heady house, dubby downtempo, celestial techno, funky freestyle or astonishing ambient. Whether it's to close Bossa Nova Civic Club, hold down happy hour at Mansions, lead us to midnight at SILO or open Fourth World, his evocative selections, often within expansive mixes, cinematically evolve in symbiosis with any dance floor. Partial to triple-deck mixing regardless of genre, he harmonizes the familiar and esoteric into full-bodied blends that echo long after in thought, creating a psychedelic space as suited to personal reflection as connecting with others. He is the organizer of BUSH DÜF, a Bushwick-based party focused on ‘colorful, cosmic and cathartic’ techno, and a resident at Newtown Radio, where he curates the recurring ambient/experimental nights. His guest mixes have been aired by other stations in New York including 8-Ball Radio and Hi-Note Radio, and around the world including Internet Public Radio, London's Subtle Radio, Athens' Fade Radio, Bangkok Community Radio and a three-hour mix for Manila Community Radio.
