Mainly performing as half of Sissies of Mercy, austen's rare solo sets are marked by a distinct sense of precise focus, blending experimentation with driving rhythm. As part of a back-to-back, her sets generally balance push + pull between two people- but on her own she's able to dive deeper into a more consistent journey of tension building and release. Inspired by industrial and noise ideals, she gravitates toward organic and found samples to contrast the strict machinery of hypnotic techno, weaving sets that are both raw and slick simultaneously.
